Remove tag on facebook

How to Untag Someone on Facebook From a Photo or Post

Facebook tags allow you to immediately share a post or photo with a specific individual, as well as designate who you were with at a certain event or time.

However, if you tag someone in error or decide you no longer want them tagged, you can untag them from the post or photo.

The procedure is identical regardless of whether you are using a PC or the Facebook mobile app on an iPhone or Android device.

Here is the procedure.

How to untag yourself on Facebook

To untag yourself from a photo or post on Facebook:

  1. Go to the photo or post that you’ve been tagged in.
  2. Click on your name in the tag.
  3. Click on the three dots icon on the right side of your cover photo.
  4. Select “Remove Tag” from the menu.

Keep in mind that you will only be able to remove tags that you have been added to. If you want to remove a tag that someone else has added to a photo or post, you will need to ask the person who added the tag to remove it.

Note: If you’re having trouble finding the tag, you may need to click on the “See More” button to expand the list of tags.
