Sign up Imgur Account with Third-party Accounts
Imgur offers a number of options for third-party accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Google, and Yahoo, for registration.
Either of those options is quicker. However keep in mind that if you enable or use a third-party account, Imgur will assume that you’ve given it full access.
Access can, however, be turned off going forward. In order to prevent access to any third-party Google accounts, we wanted to demonstrate how to do it.
How to register an Imgur account with Facebook
- Log on to the main site
- Click on the Sign-Up button
- Click on the Facebook icon
- If you haven’t signed in to your Facebook already (on the same browser) you see a pop-up asking you to log in to your Facebook account. But if you have already signed in or after you sign in you should see a pop-up asking your permission to continue with the name on the Facebook account.
- Click “Continue with your name” and you will be redirected back to the Imgur registration page to complete the process.
- Please understand that doing this means you want to use the same name, email, and profile picture on your Facebook account on Imgur.com account as well.

Imgur Account Sign Up with Twitter
- Log on to the main site
- Click on the Sign-Up button
- Click on the Twitter icon
- You’ll be redirected to the Twitter log in page to either login or create a new Twitter account. I assume that you already have a Twitter account, So log in.
- You will be redirected back to the Imgur page to enter your phone number
- You will receive a 7-digit verification code via SMS on the phone number you entered above. Enter the code and click on “Register”.
- Done!
How to Register an Imgur account with Google
1. Log on to the main site
2. Click on the Sign-Up button
3. Click on the Google icon
4. You will be redirected to the Google page to login into your Google account.
5. Then click the “Allow” to let Imgur have access to your information and use sign up for your Imgur account.

How to register an Imgur account with Yahoo
- Log on to the main site
- Click on the Sign-Up button
- Click on the Yahoo icon
- You will be redirected to the Yahoo login page. Log in to continue with the Imgur account setup.
