When Mark Zuckerberg, the man behind Facebook, declared that the company would change its name in 2021, it caused quite a stir. The parent company, which was formerly known as Facebook, is now called Meta. Maybe your name has also changed. And you really need to update your Facebook profile. Thank goodness, your Facebook name is temporary. You are allowed to change it, but you must follow certain name guidelines and you cannot change it at random. (On Facebook, a name change is permitted only every 60 days.)

1. Click on the dropdown tab icon on the top right corner
2. Select “Settings” from the “Settings & Privacy” tab
3. Click “Name”
4. Enter your new name in the name field
5. Click “Review change”
6. Save your new name by entering your password

3. Select “Personal and account information”
4. Select “Name”
